Text Link Broker Reveals Where They Sell Links

I recently noticed a new text link broker, www.linking-service.com, is ranking very well. Funny thing is, I never heard of them and all of a sudden they have some great rankings. So I started doing some backlink analysis and was very surprised at what I saw. It seems they are buying links (or just placing their links for free) on all of their publishers sites.

Two things surprise me about this. First, Google is being fooled by this link network and ranking them well for having a bunch of garbage footer and sidebar links. Second, by this broker linking to all their publisher sites, it makes it real easy for competitors to download their backlinks and steal their publishers. I would never touch a link on any of these sites because as soon as Google spots their network they so kindly mapped out for them, any links on these sites will be worthless.

Who wins: Another link broker out for a quick buck. Who loses: All the publishers and advertisers taken in by their scheme.

Please, if you are going to sell links, don’t put your link on all your publisher sites. If you want to buy links, buy them from someone who does not put you at great risk.

Good point. With the way things are going these days with paid links, the only place I would buy or sell links would be links in content, as they’re sold in a contextual manner and nearly impossible to detect that they are paid links.
