Buying Links

Buying links to improve your link popularity is not easy work. Sure you could go to a large text link broker and pick from a menu, but chances are that field has been overplowed and most of their sites in inventory are not passing the ‘link love’ you need.
The first mistake webmasters new to link buying make is believing pagerank is the most important website metric. While pagerank is a helpful measurement, remember, you can buy many more ‘under the radar’ cheap pagerank 5 links than overpriced pagerank 9 links.
Purchase Links - 5 Critical Success Factors
- Don’t buy links on sites where it is obvious that they sell links.
- Stay away from footer text links ads.
- Get links from sites that are somewhat relevant to your site.
- Get links in content.
- Get links on popular sites with great search engine rankings.
So what does this mean? To sum up the perfect link buying philosophy in one sentence: Purchase links in the content of great websites related to your site that don’t look like they sell links.
Hmmm… now things are a little more difficult. Why would you do that when you can call your friendly text link broker and say sell me some links? Two reasons - results and money saved.
Here’s one tip for now. Say you have a site that sells cookware - do a search on “kitchen cookware” (with quotes), go down the list of results and start asking webmasters with “kitchen cookware” in their content if they would change the words “kitchen cookware” to a link to your site for $50.
Get 10 of these and you will increase your search engine ranking for kitchen cookware a lot faster and cheaper then spending $1,000s per month buying links in the footer of high PR oversold websites.
